Deb!

Deb wins great CRAP for her guess of 3:13:13 for the Big South Fork Trail Race!

She Wins:

  • A RAZZLES candy MAGNETIC memo pad
  • Bendable Monster to commemorate her victory in guessing my time

and another surprise that I have to dig out of my workshop reach into the surprise closet to get. All I would need from Deb MUHAHAHA is her mailing address MUHAHAHA.

The next contest will be a double, NO, make that a triple-dipple contest. I’ll have the details, but it’ll be something like:

1) Guess The Rutledge Marathon Time

2) Guess The Harpeth Hills Flying Monkey Marathon

and/or

3) Enter in a combined total for BOTH marathons

This is give you a chance to in guess each marathon twice! And I will have 3 winners!

I am thinking that the prize for #3 will be something slightly better than CRAP like a ROAD ID or perhaps a gift certificate or something else… or maybe a choice depending on whether the winner is a runner or not.

Contest Results

I’ll be writing up a Race Report soon, but I wanted to say that Pa-Pa (aka Pete) won the Guess My Time contest with his guess (by proxy) of 24:35.

My official Time was 26:31 finishing 404th out of 850 finishers. In my age group I was 39/75. It was not a good showing for me… think Expo just a shorter race.

But don’t fret, there should be another contest coming up this month!

Yes, there was a winner in the official Planet3rry Ass Mirror contest. The finalists were:

Stacie: with Tuesday and No Flaws

DPeach: with Tuesday and something wrong

So this is how I see the package on the porch

You can see that the box isn’t all that pristine and check out this picture… the mirror is just SCREAMING to be an Ass mirror. See that “crack” between the L and A?

Once inside the house, I proceeded to open it like a surgeon (cut for the very first time) to ensure that IF I found something wrong with it, I could repackage it really easy. Although I am a pro at packaging this item… *sigh*

Unveiling

So far so good. (on a side note, you can see the waterfall of blood from The Younger from the other night… like Stacie… my kids have been having nosebleeds, but for different reasons).

Despite the styrofoam being broken in a couple of places, the mirror was in decent shape. Plus the new color we got was much more appealing.

But WAIT! What’s this? What is that light spot on the wood next to the mirror? A blemish! MOTHERF$#*&$#*&$! darn.

That’s right… the mirror did have a blemish on it. It’s noticeable but not terrible. My Lovely and Talented Wife decided that she can live with the blemish and here it is in all its GLORY [Trumpet Sound]:

Excuse the mess… it was a Man Work Zone. The place it much cleaner… except that The Kids found a new mess to make.
