Wow… the number of guesses on my current Guess My Time is so, uh, overwhelming. As I write this, there are 3 entries. One was even phoned in last night as he has a commenting mental block that he needs to sort out. You can do it!

So… I guess I better ante up and make the prize something worth winning.

True love. Million Bucks. You heard him. You could not ask for a more noble cause than that.

Sonny, true love million bucks is the greatest thing in the world. Except for a nice MLT, a mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe. They’re so perky, I love that. But that’s not what he said. He distinctly said “to blave. movie pass” And, as we all know, “to blave movie pass” means “to bluff watch a movie for free.”

So, here’s the deal. You guess correctly… you get TWO, count them, TWO Silver Passes to an AMC theatre. And if you guess the time spot on, you will get TWO GOLD Passes in place of the Silver passes. And we all know that Gold is always better than Silver. Well, except for killing werewolves.

It’s Race Week

It’s Race Week!!! This Saturday Morning is the Spring Sprint 5k and I am pretty darn excited. This is my FIRST 5k since Dec 2nd 2007 when I ran the Reindeer Run 5k.

My training will be a little altered for this week as I go into a mini-taper mode in preparations for race morning.

And this is a great lead in for a GUESS MY TIME contest! That’s right, you get to guess my finishing time for this coming up 5k race. The closest person WITHOUT going over will win something, I go through and see what kinda crap I got… or maybe I’ll get something from MyCokeRewards.com since I still have a couple thousand points and they haven’t restocked with the super nice stuff yet. Winners will have to submit their postal address to me, which I will use for purposes of shipping their prize and ruling the world.

Official Entry consists of leaving a comment to this entry. As long as comments are open and results have not been posted, you can submit your entry. Winners who guess my time exactly, will get something special… like maybe an 8×10 signed portrait… great for dart boards.

Yes, there was a winner in the official Planet3rry Ass Mirror contest. The finalists were:

So this is how I see the package on the porch

You can see that the box isn’t all that pristine and check out this picture… the mirror is just SCREAMING to be an Ass mirror. See that “crack” between the L and A?

Once inside the house, I proceeded to open it like a surgeon (cut for the very first time) to ensure that IF I found something wrong with it, I could repackage it really easy. Although I am a pro at packaging this item… *sigh*

Unveiling

So far so good. (on a side note, you can see the waterfall of blood from The Younger from the other night… like Stacie… my kids have been having nosebleeds, but for different reasons).

Despite the styrofoam being broken in a couple of places, the mirror was in decent shape. Plus the new color we got was much more appealing.

But WAIT! What’s this? What is that light spot on the wood next to the mirror? A blemish! MOTHERF$#*&$#*&$! darn.

That’s right… the mirror did have a blemish on it. It’s noticeable but not terrible. My Lovely and Talented Wife decided that she can live with the blemish and here it is in all its GLORY [Trumpet Sound]:

Excuse the mess… it was a Man Work Zone. The place it much cleaner… except that The Kids found a new mess to make.

Here is my first attempt at a Caption THIS contest, hopefully it won’t end up as a trainwreck. But there is a prize at stake, so you got to bring your game. This is how it’s going to work:

  • Submissions for the contest will be accepted via the Comment Section at the bottom of this post (you can’t miss it).
  • I will keep comments open until Wednesday January 30th 2008 1pm Eastern, at which point I will close comments
  • A poll will be created for YOU the reader to vote on which caption is the best. I’ll let you know how long voting will be up when the time comes.
  • At the end of the voting period, the votes will be tabulated and the winner announced.
