Photo Hunters: Emotion

This Week’s Theme: Emotion

Here is The Younger exhibiting a disgusted or angry emotion. The Younger and The Elder are such different creatures, The Elder has difficult showing emotion but The Younger can go through a gambit of emotions in about 5 minutes. Don’t worry, what ever he was pouting about was soon forgotten.

Photo Hunters: Bad Hair

This Week’s Theme: Bad Hair

This week’s Photo Hunter’s Theme is Bad Hair. I thought that I would again tie in last week’s theme (SELF) with this week’s theme as this is a picture of me.

I had originally wanted to take a bad hair picture after my trail run on Tuesday. However, that didn’t happen. So, this pictures is from Friday after a “brick” workout. I swam 400 meters with a swim cap then I got out of the pool and put on my shoes and socks. I then ran 1.1 miles around campus. This was taken just minutes after finishing the run in the locker room (before a well needed shower).

Photo Hunters: Self

This Week’s Theme: Self

This week’s Photo Hunter’s Theme is Self or at least “part” of you. I really wasn’t in the mood to do a self-portrait and I don’t have my studio set up in the basement anyway. So, what I thought that I would do is tie-in last week’s picture (SHOES) with this week’s picture.

Here’s a picture of my legs and if you can get past the blood, you’ll notice my Vitruvian Harmony Shoes which were the highlight of last week’s hunt. This picture was taken this past Tuesday after my Forks of the River Trail Run, which you can read about my non-encounter with wild boars and the vicious attack on me of a fallen tree, hence the bloody knee. If you are not bleeding after a trail run, you didn’t run hard enough.

Photo Hunters: Shoes

This Week’s Theme: Shoes

These are my Vitruvian Running Harmony shoes… I thought it only fitting for my entry this week to be of Running Shoes. And speaking of Running, I will be running a 10k (6.2 mile) race Saturday morning with a pair of running shoes.

Photo Hunters: Time

This Week’s Theme: Time

This is the finish line to the Run for the Deaf 5k which is held annually at the Tennessee School for the Deaf. This is one of my favorite race because the course is pretty and relatively “flat”, also all the proceeds go to a great cause. This picture is late, but it was “hunted” on Saturday. In case you were wondering about “my time”, it was 23:27.

Photo Hunters: Thir13en

This Week’s Theme: Thirteen 13

This was a hunted photograph, this week! I thought about what would be a great 13 picture and thought of the movie Thir13een Ghosts and BOOM the thought of the headstones was born. I took my free day this past Tuesday to head over to Highland Memorial Park off of Sutherland Road in Knoxville. I wanted to get the Great Smoky Mountains in the background because it was a clear day, but the pictures just didn’t work.

Photo Hunters: High

This Week’s Theme: High

high

This picture was true taken in true photo “hunt” style. I took this today during my trail run. After not coming up with anything good for the theme “high”, I was upset. Then while getting ready to run, I thought, “HEY! I could take a picture at the top of one of the hills”. I knew that they were building a subdivision and I could get a good shot. However, I was not expecting this pile of wood debris they put up as a “fence” to the neighborhood. So, here is this week’s photo taken from my mobile phone (that is why the quality stinks)… and if you want the double entendre of this week’s theme… the subdivision is a group of “high” end homes. Have a Great Week!

Photo Hunters: Metal

This Week’s Theme: Metal

X Marks the spot and this spot is under the Gay Street Bridge in Knoxville, TN. It traverses the Tennessee River to connect downtown Knoxville with South Knoxville and the Island Home community. It also passes over part of the Neyland Greenway which is one of my favorite running routes. Have a great week!

Photo Hunters: Party & Wooden

This Week’s Theme: Party

One of my short comings of a photographer is that I am not fast enough to get the focus on what I intend. I had wanted to focus on the Orange Dinosaur, but I left the camera in auto mode and it focused just in front of the T-Rex. This birthday was my nephew’s for his 9th birthday. Hard to believe that he’s 9 already. He’s going to be driving any day now!

Last Week’s Theme: Wooden

I had this picture almost ready to go last week, but I never constructed the page. So, here is a tree that I recently hacked down while I was in Lumberjack mode.
