It’s Race Week
The Game is ON! It’s race week and wouldn’t you know it… I am starting feel every little twinge my body has. Oi!
I just finished a nice 3 miler in very cold weather, so that means… since it’s Race Week, that I’ll get the sniffles or some other ailment. NOT! Well, I don’t know if I will or not, but I am not ordering any.
So there are a few things that I have left to do for the Rutledge Marathon which is coming up this Saturday! But what’s really weird is to know that right after I am done with Rutledge, I have to start preping for Harpeth Hills.
I’ve decided what I am going to wear for the marathon, so I need to get my Race Bag together as well as set out those clothes. I also create a Recovery Bag, which has stuff that I will need immediately after the race. Also something new this time is to have a cooler with some ice bags for my legs on the ride home. That way I can cool down my legs.
And speaking of cool, I will have to check the temperature. Now, hopefully, the temperature won’t be very dramatic from Race Start to Finish. Clothes Management!
But one of the things that I have the hardest thing with is eating. I have a tendency NOT to eat as I get nervous or anxious and so my appetite goes away. Then I get cravings for candy bars and then want to eat them exclusively. Of course, this is like the WORST thing I could do! I am going to try to be more conscious of eating right for the next few days especially since I need to eat well for the next 10 days or so!
Also, i need to get the Guess My Time contest up as well! I better finish that…
