M3 on eBay
February 14, 2008
Since I had a few comments on “What do you sell on eBay” I thought that I would list some of the things that i sell:
Broken Digital Cameras… surprisingly enough cameras that don’t work DO get some money back, not a lot but the parts are worth anywhere from $10-$50. This way I can recoup the cost of some broken cameras.
New Digital Cameras… if I see a great deal on a new digital camera, I will get one and then resell it. The margin on these items is small, so it’s not really worth mine (or your) time to do this.
Collectors Items… I have been selling off my cartoon glasses (Peanuts, Muppets) that take up space. I’ve gotten anywhere from $0.25 to $3.00 a glass on them. It works best if you sell in sets, makes it more attractive. I also have 2 barbie dolls right now up for auction (Ken and Barbie Ice Capades)
Books… if there is a specialty book, I will sell this on eBay rather than seeing what I can get for it at a book seller. I anticipate that someone out there will want a particular book more than a book seller who needs their margin to be enough to buy the book. Currently, I have the 1962 version of the Culinary Arts Encyclopedic Cookbook on there.
I am looking for a good niche to sell… it has to be something that moves quickly and everybody needs. I am thinking that electronics is great but the volatility is great to really make any money. I’ve been thinking about Toys, Clothes, shoes, Lingerie…
Closer to Christmas I am going to start unloading alot of my older Hallmark ornaments and other Christmas stuff that takes up space. I do have some Star Wars toys that I might be able to get something for, but not sure. I do have an original Megatron (Transformer) in the original box that could probably fetch a couple hundred dollars.
So if you want to see what I am selling, check me out on eBay under interst3llar!

Uh… b4 you go off selling ALL of those toys… come and consult your friendly neighborhood Bro-In-Law… I’d be glad to take some of those off your hands… I know 2 little boys that are SO into Star Wars and Transformers. And B is getting into collectibles as well, so maybe some SW or Transformers merchandise could start his collection off right. Just let me know what you have and how much you’re offering…

The Star wars toys that I have are original (well-played with) items. I will try to make a list of what Star wars stuff that I have and see what you’d want.

Be careful with that selling stuff. You don’t want to get so caught up in what you are doing that you sell the wife and kids.
