Oh the clutter

Just when I thought that my desk was getting to be clean, it has taken on a new life. A big paper beast has claimed my desk. GRRR.

But enough about clutter. I wanna talk: MILE MARKERS!

On my Neyland Greenway to JW Greenway run, I (and all the other users of the greenway) was given a most wonderful surprise, mile markers.

In 1/4 mile increments, the mile markers run along Neyland Greenway, but I am not sure how far they go down James White Greenway, but today (Thursday) I am going to find out.

What the mile markers mean is that I can now do some Intervals on the Greenway and not have to be a slave to the track. I am very excited. Also, I was a little upset that the course that I had mapped previous was coming up short when I used Google to map the distance. But Oh yeah, Mile Markers CONFIRM that my original mileage was correct. So, I don’t have to go back into my long and scratch out all the 3.00 mile runs and mark in 2.97 miles. Nope.

My Wednesday run went okay… nothing super exciting. Tempo run, hot, hills… the usual. Tonight I am running 10 miles, 4 with and ex-statistics buddy. well, he went on to the PhD. program because he’s a smart cookie. There no hidden meaning on why I nicknamed him Mr. 100.

Wrapping up the recording for Episode 14 of Gravity@1053 which will be out in a couple of days.

We are in Day 4 of no AC, but whatever we did we are being blessed with cool weather. It’s almost like early fall. Of course, next week we are going to be in Dallas… Which will be Hot, like always. In fact, tonight I need to go get Stella a sleeping blanket (i.e. camera bag) and a lens hood. I do have some picture to upload, but that is a mess just like my desk… *sigh*

Oh Marianna (rhymes with banana) we’ll be in your area next week.
