I haven’t talked about them in a long time but I have mentioned that I participate in about 5 or 6 different free online survey groups. Most of them reward me with “points” that I can collect to buy “crap” at a later date. I’ve been doing this since 2003 and have amassed a small amount of points, enough to get something that I don’t really need. I think in a couple of more years, I will be able to claim that Nintendo DS that looks really cool for FREE! Anyway, since I have been busy with my Tuna Paper and that whole “what’s happening to my lung thing” they have been piling up and piling up. Now some of them expire after a certain time, so there is nothing that I can do with those. But I am pleased to say that I finally caught up on all of them! YAY!! Let me tell you… Shift+A, Del.
I went back to back swim days! I went back to the pool and wouldn’t you know it, the lanes were back into the short lanes. So I don’t know what the hell they were doing yesterday. And today, I was a touch more motivated to get in the pool. No dilly dallying in the locker room, counting the number of shirts and socks I have. Nope it was off with the work clothes, on with the swim suit and out to the pool. I am not sure what radio station (I think they have XM or something) but it was classic mid-90 jams. Coolio, Hootie and the Blowfish, it was like going back in time. Really, nothing says getting back into the pool than Dr. Dre ft Snoop Dogg “Nuthin’ but a G Thang”.
I really tried to see if any Rub came to be since yesterday’s wade in the pool. Apart from some localized soreness, there was no rattling that I could feel or hear. So, off I went. And to my surprise, I was able to swim 400 meters in about 8:30 which is a really good time for me seeing that I hadn’t worked out in forever, much less swim. I’ve been in shape before and swam 400 meters in 9:00-9:30 minutes, so I was rather pleased. I guess that this means I will be a little sore tonight and tomorrow.
My Lovely and Talented Wife may have scored me a (almost for pay) writing gig with a local magazine. One of the magazines that she is looking to advertise with is looking for a “columnist” to write a monthly motivational article. I say almost for pay because she is bartering my services for advertisement, but hey, if I am ever going to become a professional blogger, then I need to start somewhere, right?
So, WordPress released an update to their blogging software yesterday. Everything went great but it seems that I have lost the ability to post via email now. So, that’s a hurdle that I will have to clear. I don’t know enough (or any) programming to attempt to figure out how to fix it.
I’m am going to start planning out the content for the next Gravity@1053 podcast. If everything goes right, it’ll be recorded and released next week. And, one last thing, there are a few more Flikr pictures. I probably will upgrade to Pro, because as Michael of A Boy and His Bike mentioned, the prestige… yeah, nothing like a little prestige!
