Teetering

You see that guy on the edge of the Earth? Well… that’s me. I am a push away from falling off the face of the Earth.

But I am not down and not out… I’m just… well, busy right now. My schedule should come back down to something near normal, although my if my To-Do list was sponsored by Google, it would be my Tooooooo-Doooooo list.

So, I’ll give you the Reader’s Digest version of my past week and then I can break into a few of them with more detail later…

Family
Everyone’s healthy. The kids survived being gone and the (exhausted) Aunt also survived. We are trying to get the kids back onto their regular schedule and back to normal behavior. There is something about having them being watched by other people that makes them, more resistant to listening to Mommy & Daddy. You know… a battle of wills.

I have worked only 4 hours this week at work (hence, the lack of blogging – haha) and will burn up more sick/personal time covering those days. I can’t say that I miss work, in fact, I will say that I DIDN’T miss work! So there!

Stella
She got a good workout this past week. I have pictures that I need to put into albums, but that’s on The To-Do list. Hopefully… hopefully, this weekend or early next week. I don’t want to have to play catch-up either.

Running
None. And I was all in that “I’m doing speedwork now” mode last week. The truth is that I still am… I am still committed to breaking my PR time of the 5k and 10k. I don’t think that this “break” in running will have detrimental effects… this first 5k just won’t be as pretty as I would like

Podcast
The extra hours (and yes, I said hours) that I had to use to remind The Younger that when Daddy says it’s bedtime, it’s bedtime were supposed to be used to edit the podcast audio. Not sure when I will have time to get the audio done, but I will concentrate on a new episode in the next few days, when I get back to running on a consistence basis.

I am getting ready to brain dump (much less stinky than other kind), sometime after lunch. I just wanted to get something out there before you thought I was off the face of the earth.

About planet3rry

I'm a husband, father and runner in the Knoxville area. I love the way that running makes me feel and how it has changed my thinking. I am always looking for the new PR whether in the 5k or the marathon
