For Every Season Turn

Although it is technically still summer, Thursday was the first day that weather had really made a play for Autumn. It was chilly in the morning and very comfortable all day long. Today is the same way… it’s awesome out there and this post will be a two-parter because I am writing part of it before my lunch work and then will finish when I get back.

Today, Friday, is the day before the University of Tennessee and University of Florida football game. This is HUGE in Knoxville. UT and Florida have a mutual dislike for each other (at least the fans do). Despite a respectable rivalry against Alabama, UT hates Florida as much as any other team. Part of this is due to fact that their old coahc, Steve Spurrier OWNED Phillip Fulmer year after year, now that he’s gone for 4 years, Phil’s actually 2-2 against Florida. Also, UT and FLorida are in the same Conference (SEC) and the same conference division (Eastern), so this game has huge ramification on Conference Standing. Much less that Florida is ranked 7th in the nation and UT is ranked 13th. There is a lot of commotion on campus right now and I imagine that when I run today, I will come accross alot more traffic and perhaps even some catcalls from Florida fans who are in town.

Today’s run should be fairly interesting. One coworker brought in donuts (bastard) and I have had… 4 of them. Yes, I know, what the hell am I eating 4 donuts for, their not even remotely healthy. Well, after much clinical research, I have concluded that 4 donuts is my limit before I get physically ill from the sugar and other back-for-you-but-tastes-awesome stuff in them. So, now it’s off to run in this awesome weather…

UPDATE
It’s actually Monday Morning now, I never got to finish my message on Friday nor this weekend. Also, there is a sickness that is plaguing our household. For some unknown reason, I am the only one who does not have any symptoms. Eric and Ryan have runny noses and Jen is the worse of all. So, I stayed home from work today to care for the walking wounded. Basically, this means that my normal rounds of reading, commenting blogs as well as my updates will be put on hold for today, perhaps tonight I can catch up on all the fun stuff everyone did over the weekend.
Stay Healthy everyone!
