Yesterday was such a great day for running. I went out and almost immediately, I found a great slower Tempo pace where I stuck it for about 4 miles. Actually what happened is that at the 2 mile marker, which is my normal turn around point, I decided to add another mile. The last mile, which includes the Lake Loudon Hill, I took at a very easy pace. I actually walked about 0.2 of a mile just to start to cool down. I wasn’t trying to break any records or anything. It was pretty nice, I am sore today (the day after) but not in a bad way.

So what was so tempting… about $50.

I have 2 lockers that I usually use for my workout stuff. One is basically the first locker you can come to when you walk in the locker room. It’s right near the shower, sink and a urinal. So, everything is pretty convenient. When I went in yesterday there were some paper pieces in the locker. Upon further inspection they were gift certificates.

More accurately, they were 2 $25 gift certifcate to Riverside Tavern which is one of the best restaurants in town. Neither of the gift certifcates were marked in anyway on the recipient and so were pretty much $50. For a split second, I thought… COOL! but then, I figured that they might be someone elses and would be looking for them. After all this is the same place that my wedding ring had a sleepover one day when I forgot to put it back on after working out.

But I was not going to give up my primo real estate in the locker room! So I place the certificate in the next open locker in such a way they would be easily seen and went on my run. When I got back they were gone! So, I hope that the original owners were the ones that picked them up. Regardless someone is going to have a great dinner!
