I forgot my MP3 player at home today, that coupled with the heat left with little motivation for today's run. The big board (Thompson-Boling Arena)  had 92 degrees as I left the campus section and hopped onto Neyland  Greenway. I had decided that today would just be a 3.5 mile run instead of the normal 4… it was too hot. I was aslo feeling some aches and pains from yesterday's run which I never blogged about.

Yesterday's run was a fast (at first) Market Square 4 miler. I was pretty good until Mile 2.75 or so, when the course takes a considerable rise in terrain, the effort increases and my stamina decreases. Actually, I ended up picking up speed and ran a fast 0.2 of a mile to the 3 mile marker. I decided that I would run/walk the last mile as not to incurr Heat Exhaustion or Stroke. So, the last mile was painful.  I decided to spring for a Powerade at the Soda Machine to get my sodium and electrolyte level bad up to snuff, I did not want to suffer dehyration.

So, with Wednesday's 4 mile tempoesque run, today's run wasn't bad, but I felt like poop.

Tomorrow Jen is going out of town and my babaysitter turns into a pumpkin at 1pm, so it will be a short day for me. Also, tomorrow is tax-free day for certain back-to-school items, so I think Daddy is going to shop for some funstuff. As a result, I probably won't get to exercise until later in the evening… maybe some intervals on the treadmill.
