Lost Time

The main part of this entry is going to bore non-runners… so I will try to keep it brief. See, I want to rant and rage about how my running took a huge nose dive during the latter part of last week. I ran 3 on Monday, 4 on Tuesday and 5 on Wednesday, with Wednesday being such a great day that all was awesome. But then I lost my Thursday to a normal rest day. Then I lost Friday to a conference call at noon, leaving only half an hour to do anything. I decided to bag the running for the evening. Turns out that we [read: Jen] decided to redo our hall bathroom, which really really really really needed to be painted/changed/anything. Well, getting to be around 1:45am did little to get me up at 5am to get out the door for a run. So, Saturday was a wash. Sunday, I got a little more sleep, but not enough to recover from Saturday.

Actually, Sunday morning, the alarm went off at 5am. I got up up, with superhuman strength I pryed open my eye lips to stagger out to the living room. I then toppled over on to the LoveSac and ended up resting for a short nap. At 7am, the kids were up and the chance of running was slim to none. I had stuff that night I needed to get done, so running on the treadmill was not going to happen. So, 4 freaking days on not running. I really needed a 8-10 miler on Saturday at the very least. Instead, I am now behind, but I know that I can boost my training to much too quickly. *sigh*

I realize now that I didn’t even post the times for Tuesday and Wednesday’s run. Don’t worry, I won’t post them now. I have them and will also put them in my online workout log Buckeye Outdoors.

So we redid the bathroom. I actually have 1 before picture and 1 after picture. No wait! Make that 2 after pictures (“AH AH AHHHH” – The Count). It’s pretty cool. I will blog on that when the pictures are developed, errrrr downloaded.

After a number of days of NOTHING on my photoblog, I have loaded up about 3 weeks of photos. I actually have quite a few to last me a while. I still need to resolve the personal slim digital camera dilemma. Perhaps I will order some cameras to sell this week and use one of those.

Now back to trying to organize my week…
