Yesterday, I was debating whether I would actualy do a Voicepost seeing that I had just uploaded the podcast. I figured that hearing me talk and breathe heavy would be enough for one day and that you didn’t need to have a stream of conscious weather/workout report as well.

Well, my mobile phone decided that it would have some sort of aneurysm and decided to shut down during a call. Resusitation attempt were futile. I tried removing the battery and all that did was bring up the main screen during load up and then proceeding to shut back down. I thought that it could be battery related, but the fact of the matter was that after a fully charged battery… it still had the same lethargic response.

So, I took it to the Sprint store for a check-up. I will actually be leaving here in a bit to check the status. Perhaps there will be a new member of the family here… I don’t know.

To make things even better, when I got home the contractors that are rewiring the entire neighborhood hit a main powerline and so no power! None! we ended up taking the kids outside as we weeded our landscaping for a couple of hours. I used Jen’s phone to order Papa John’s. Everything was pretty normal except the whole “no power” thing.

As we laid in the living room waiting for Jen’s conference call at 9pm. I am thinking to myself, what the hell did people due in the 1800s. Well, they probably went to bed earlier and didn’t have to have internet withdrawl… They probably told more stories to each other instead of typing them out for at least 8 other people to read. Ahh, the simple life… no need to negotiate a dark basement to try to find the massive Battery Unit that you use during camping. Really, how else are you going to blow up the air mattress when you go camping…
