Unusual Nightly Update

Well well… it's almost 10pm and I have a few moments to update the world on my running even since Monday. So let's get to it!

Monday
4.0 miles to Volunteer Landing and back. It was rather hot, but I was able to go with a break during the run. I did take a breather at the midpoint because I didn't want to kill myself! Tempo Run

Tuesday
I had NO SHORTS! Yes… I knowwwwwwwwwww… you would figure that I would make sure that I had shorts right? Ugh. So, I decided that I would go swim. Wrong again… they were restructuring the swim lanes from width-wise to length-wise and right at Noon nonetheless. So, I tanned for about 20 minutes. I did actually get a little red,but it didn't hurt or anything, so I was happy with the results.

Wednesday
You got the voicepost memo, right? 3.27 miles through campus. I need to add another 1/4 mile to get it up to 3.5. There's enough hills that I don't need a lot more distance but I do want some bang for my buck! Tempo Run

Thursday
Downtown 4.00 loop! I added the extra 0.15 miles that I needed and got the distance I am happy with now. There really is infinite number of routes that I can take to and from downtown, but I got one that works and I'll be able to branch from there. I really wish that I had another 30 minutes for lunch and I could do a 6-7 miler and really get a good workout. If I didn't have to shower after the run, I would be in great shape! Tempo Run

I have been working hard on the Phedippidations Worldwide Half Marathon Challenge that will take place on Oct 7 & 8th. I've been needling the training programs together, from someone who has never run before to the one that I will be using (or at least modifying) for my training. We have people signed up all over the world for this event and yours truely is one of the race directors trying to get this completely free event up and running. It's really exciting!

Tomorrow I am debating whether to swim or to have a cheeseburger with the guys…
