I remembered to do my Voicepost today. Yay for me! I think I was most pleased with the Interval recap without split times. But… I do need a watch. I think I will do some research tonight and if I can't find anything, I will purchase the one on eBay. It will make my life easier and I can stop bitching about not having a watch.
I am officially a race director. Actually, I am tri-race director with Steve Runner and Mal (gazarunning) from Phedippidations. Mal had this great idea to have a Global Half-Marathon (which was originally taken from Simply Stu's worldwide triathlon) and we acted on it. So, the three of us are starting to put our brains together about the Phedippidations Worldwide Half Marathon. The jist of the marathon is that the running community is a Global Family and even though we are located throughout the world, we share the same passion. So, on October 8th, we are going to have a global half-marathon. Every runner is encouraged to run 13.1 miles (or 21.1 km) that day either as part of an organized race or run on your own. Results will be sent (to me) where we will compile the resultsa lucky runner will have some special air time on the podcast Phedippidations.
A number of us will be recording our run on October 8th and will also be part of a Phedippidations episode. I will be posting more information here as it comes around, but to be fully up-to-date or to participate in the process go to the Phedippidations home page and click on the icon on the left hand side that says “Board” and you will be in the Phedippidations forum.
We are encouraging that EVERYONE run with us that day. Even if you never have run a half marathon before, we will be providing some training programs and am trying to link up with a free online training log so that people can hold themselves accountable.
