The Foot

I wrote yesterday about how my foot was offer as a prayer request on Sunday. When I woke up Monday morning, my foot was feeling normal. Closer to normal since the injury. I couldn’t even find any remote sense of pain.

Today was the same thing when I woke up… nuthin’ No soreness, no pain. I could find the feeling in the foot when I put all my weight on the side of my foot. Okay, so it’s still there. I wanted to run today so that I could get the running to clear out my sinuses. I switched gears on my sickness as more allergy than illness. I took a Zyrtec-D last night and it went well. I woke up with just a little congestion in my nose, but it went away.

So as I walked to the aquatic center today, I could not feel anything in my foot. I even tried to step up on the curb in such away that the injury spot was right on the edge of the curb… nothing. So, I was ready to run today and see what would happen to my foot after the run.

Here’s what I did timewise

Split Split Distance Overall Distance Split Time Split Pace Overall Time Comments
1 1.73 1.73 14:05 8:09 14:05 &nbsp
2 0.87 2.60 7:19 8:27 21:24 &nbsp
3 1.8 4.4 15:21 8:32 36:46 &nbsp

and for my foot… it did not cause me one problem while running. The soreness is back though in the slightest degree. So, I am happy about that since I have the doctor’s appointment. I guess I should make some sort of a log on my foot so I know what to tell the doc. The mid 8 minute pace was a little tough on the hills, but fairly easy to maintain on the flat areas. So, maybe I need to sit down and think about my marathon pace in 12 freakin’ days!
