Guess My Time

“Would you like to play a game?”

No, this is not Global Thermonuclear War antics with Matthew Broderick. This is called Guess my Finishing Time and I am stealing this from fellow LJ user (why not play his Pickem' Game too? – you do need a LJ account though). I guess means that I am not going to post my predicted times for each mile then, that would be unfair because I probably am going to get them all way off, anyway and don't want to sway your guess.

To win, we are playing by The Price is Right rules so you have to get under the finishing time, not over. Winner gets Wednesday Voicepost recognition and either a big hug, a big kiss, or a restraining order. If you guess EXACTLY to the second, you will get the above AND some fashionable Mail Art from me. See some wonderful examples of mail art from The Artful Laura, Mail Art Extraordinaire.

Guesses can be in the form of: it will take you X hours and X minutes, or based on the Start time of 7:00 you will finish at X:XX am/pm.

Guesses have to be in by before the Time Stamp of my first voicepost from the marathon on Sunday. There is no online tracking of runners for this race, so even if I don't voicepost until mile 23… you'll never know, therefore you can submit until my voicepost. More than likely there will be a voicepost from me before the race start of 7:00am Sunday Morning, so that will be the official cutoff. If for some reason you are losing sleep over your prediction, I will use your last prediction before the cutoff.

Have no idea what kind of time I am capable of running? You can peruse my Running Corner and click on my Race Results for the last 8 years. Or you could click the “long run” tag on my blog and that would show you what I did during training… but beware… that's just training.

Click on the link below that says 'Leave Comment' and be heard!

All submitted times will remain hidden until the winner (if any) is announced and all then the times will be posted!

Happy Guessing and remember NON-LIVEJOURNAL people, Don't forget to SIGN your comment!!!!
