A while back I had placed an order with Carb-BOOM for some energy gels to be used during my longer distance runs. When my shipment arrived, I noticed that I was short a Pro-Boom, which is a protein rich recovery gel, used to speed recovery after workouts. This was a new product since I had last ordered from Carb-Boom a couple of years ago, so I was anxious to try this stuff.
I sent an email stating my order number and that I was shorted a gel. The Pro-Boom is a $1.99 value, so I was anxious to get my product. A couple of days went by and I received a survey to rate Carb-BOOM, but I did not fill it out because I wanted to see what they would do with my request. I wanted to give them a chance to have good customer service. Still another week went by and nothing. Of course I wasn't losing sleep over it, but when I got a third email from them, I decided to resend my request about my order.
Sure enough, the next day I got an email saying that this would be taken care of and that they threw in some extra packets. Cool! I really wasn't expecting anything extra, but who I am to complain? I got the package today and there were 2 Pro-Booms and 3 Carb-Booms! So waiting an extra 2 weeks resulted in a $8.48 retail increase! WOO-HOO! Now, I have enough Pro-BOOMs for my run this weekend (if the foot lets me) and for after the marathon!
So, I think I will fill out that survey now!
