Nothing

Today was a rest day, plain and simple. I debated whether or not to actually go swimming at lunch or if I should just rest up. I decided on the “yeah, a rest day would be nice”. Actually, there is some running related activities going on today. At 6pm, I am volunteering for the KTC's Kid Curry Event.

Come be a part of Knoxville's unique history by running the Inaugural Kid Curry Hurry!

Group walk/run starts at 6:00PM at the Emporium Center for Arts & Culture located at 100 South Gay Street in downtown Knoxville.

DESCRIPTION: A ONE MILE walk/run on the sidewalks and end with a Kid Curry Hurry 200 meter 'freedom' dash across the Gay Street bridge!
(Bridge will be closed to traffic)

*Bag check-in available for your convenience.
*Take the trolley back to the Emporium for refreshments.
*Writing contest: write a creative ending to the Kid Curry Escape and have an opportunity to win a FREE pair of new running shoes (both adult and child entries)
*Local historian to provide the scoop on the infamous 1903 Kid Curry Escape.
*City of Knoxville Police to be on hand to answer questions about early 20th century police operations along with a display of memorabilia.
*Local elite runner will share his wisdom on running fast, relaxed and playful!

Great opportunity to register for the KIDS' RUN as part of the Knoxville marathon events.

It looks like my long run tomorrow, may have a little winter weather with it. How fun. I am also going to record some material for the Runcast Weekly Podcast… not exactly sure what I am going to talk about, but I know I want to touch on “accountability of the marathon (or any distance for that matter)training program”
