Yesterday I went swimming for the first time in forever, or this year… you choose. But showering and drying off was a mute point because of the monsoon that was beating down East Tennessee. But surprising the rain was not freezing cold… which meant no snow. Rachel from Nashville mentioned that it was snowing out her way but by the the time it gets to us, it changes back to rain. I am not a meteorologist nor do I play one on TV, but I would wonder why that happens… oh well… that's a dissertation for another day.

The swimming went well… I swam 800 meters in about 30 minutes. It all wasn't freestyle so I am not concerned about the time. Of course, it got me motivated for the Trideltathon (Delta, Delta, Delta, can I help ya, help ya, help ya) in April when I will try to wrestle the title of Champion from Gray. We have a gentlemen's wager (loser has to buy the beer) on who finishes the triathlon the fastest.

The Trideltathon is a sprint distance triathlon with a 400 meter swim, 6 mile bike and a 3 mile run and is held on the UT campus. It's fundraiser for the Delta Delta Delta sorority and hosted by the Greater Knoxville Triathlon Club. You can sign-up on
