Saturday I took Eric to the each for the first time. We were staying at the Maison which is oceanfront with Janie, Jody and William who are friends from church and Janie is one of Jen's consultants. While the girls were at the retreat on Saturday, Jody and I took the boys down to the beach to play. William had been to the beach before, but this was Eric's first time out to see the ocean. He had been to The Cove, which is a small man-made beach along the Tennessee River, not far from our house. Well, Eric didn't really care for it at all. It was very windy all weekend, so even though it was warm mid-60s to 70s, the wind made it chilly. I would have loved to have put Eric in the water but couldn't. He really wasn't all that interested in the sand either, he was happiest when we went to Ocean Annie's bar and they played on the stage. Go figure. I have pictures and will post when I have the chance.

We think that Eric has a little cold. He has a slight fever and a runny nose. Jen says that he isn't eating a whole lot today, so I better watch out. I already have a stuffy nose…

Tomorrow is my chest Xray to see if the pneumonia is all gone. I will keep you posted, since if I am clear, I will be running on Saturday. I am out of shape for all practical purposes. I only have 8 weeks to get into shape for the Expo 10k that I will be running in honor of Grandma Varney. I would dedicate one sooner (like this weekend) but I will not be in true running form, and I don't want to lousy run when I run for her.

Miles ran for March = 8.0
Miles ran for 2005 = 134.4
