Be Someone’s Hero 5k

This weekend I ran with TVA Police in the Be Someone’s Hero 5k, as an invited runner, not doing community service or anything like that. I ended up breaking 22 minutes for the second race in a row, with a time of 21:56! I can hardly believe it, after 3 years of not making under 22:30, I have finished in under 22 minutes twice. I know that this won’t really transfer over to my marathon pace but I know that it will help me with having a faster time. I think, realistically, that I can finish somewhere between 3:55 and 4:10 given that everything cooperates with me.

About planet3rry

I'm a husband, father and runner in the Knoxville area. I love the way that running makes me feel and how it has changed my thinking. I am always looking for the new PR whether in the 5k or the marathon
